White Prickly Poppy Flowers Version 1
This is a white flower with a deep yellow center that grows in our back yard. The species is Argemone polyanthemos, commonly known as prickly poppy or thistle poppy. It grows wild in our area. I love the way the petals are like translucent tissue paper and billow in the slightest breeze. When they’re in their prime I become obsessed with photographing them, trying to capture the way the fragile petals look as they flutter.
I have two versions of this photo. Version one has a transparent background, allowing it to be isolated on t-shirts. This version also has a plain white background on select products.

Version 2 of this photo has a textured background, created from part of one of the flower petals.
